Very cool... this is one of those obvious things that a lot of companies overlook. I'll be doing something like this for my next launch (thanks to this article!)

Thanks Allen. There were a bunch of us who worked on this release, but I really do appreciate your kind words. I've been trying to make our announcements as thoughtful and useful as possible. Please do feel free, by the way, to link to that page at http://splashcastmedia.com/mypodcastnetwork

It's a great summary of how exactly any new launch should be arranged. It is amazing that Marshall has managed to arrange it all without even being a professional PR man (as far as I know at least). But I think it is just the way for any startup to prepare its launch. BUT we got too accustomed to them launching the product silently without giving any single thought to marketing, PR & promotion. And they all expect that just their brilliant idea will get them tons of visitors in the very first day. But surprisingly for them it never happens this way :) And only then they start pushing their links everywhere - in forums, in comments to any blog post that seems just a little bit relevant. And that is just annoying and never gives the results they want.
So this type of launch is brilliant and we should all strive to making it something like "standard launch practices".
