Want an Amazon Investment? How about $25k Cash? Amazon Launches Web Startup Contest
Amazon has announced a new challenge to AWS (Amazon Web Services) developers and entrepreneurs. You must either be a U.S. resident or operate a legal business in the U.S. and must have less than $10M in annual revenue. The winner receives: $50,000 in cash, $50,000 in Amazon Web Services (AWS) credits, mentoring sessions from an AWS technical expert, and an investment offer from Amazon.com. Plus the finalists get to present their ideas to Amazon executives in Seattle. I wouldn’t be surprised if more than one finalist receives an Amazon VC offer. All entries receive a credit on AWS fees.
From the announcement:
Business ideas submitted for the contest must use fee-based solutions offered by AWS, such as Amazon S3 and EC2 (see contest details for list of eligible services). A complete description of the prizes and contest rules can be found at aws.amazon.com/startupchallenge.
