Awesome "Moving" 360-Degree View of Times Square
Written by Allen Stern - December 13, 2007
We've all seen the Google Maps Street View and today I received a link to the video that's embedded below. It's of Times Square in NYC (actually just two street blocks) but it's pretty darn sweet. Yes, there's privacy issues up the wazoo. It's a "moving" 3d, 360-degree view of Times Square. It's produced by Immersive Media. The most fun is if you tilt it just correctly, it looks like everything is one big roundabout, especially near the Hilton and the Yankees Store. And the car makes the light at 8th avenue, never happened for me! The only thing it's missing is sound.
CLICK the play button. Then CLICK and DRAG on the video screen to pan across the 360° view.
Hat tip to Andreas.
