Something for the UK’rs… BargainSpy launches new version to help you save some quid
by Allen Stern on March 2nd, 2007
For my buddies in the U.K., BargainSpy re-launched today. The site helps you find the best deals to save you some pounds, quid, money, etc. They claim over 5000 active users of the site and it appears to be a great implementation of Drupal. There is a little bit of "looseness" around the edges in terms of the main content panels, spelling and so forth, but overall it is about as Web 2.0 looking as you can get. This site is very much like FatWallet and Spoofee (both sites I can't live without) here in the states.
Some of the updates include:
-
Bookmarking – Ability to save good bargains for yourself, as well as viewing the most popular ones at recommended
-
Improved search – The whole search engine has been re-written giving more accurate and easier to browse deals, as well as price comparison Commenting – Have your say or discuss the Bargains here without needing to register on all the sites we index
-
Related Bargains – Our search engine automatically finds related bargains which could save you even more money!
-
More channels and sub-channels – The channels down the right are even more accurate and contain sub categories i.e Consoles & Games -> Nintendo -> Wii RSS
-
Feeds for bargains you've saved, and more to be introduced soon Flag bad bargains for removal to keep the place clean Site thumbnail previews before you visit them

great site for bargains: http://www.cubalaya.co.uk – i managed to save over £50!
A.
err cubalaya is just scraping dealtime results and doing nothing new. Take your spam elsewhere
cubalaya.co.uk looks like it simple does a price comparison between retailers, so not really a bargain finder.
