Blip.tv Grabs Funding from Bain Capital

NY-based blip.tv has announced a new round of capital from Bain Capital Ventures. The amount of the round was not disclosed but we will poke around until we find out how much!

The company also is reporting that they served 51 million video views in September 2008, a 250% increase over September 2007. They didnt’ share how many of views were served with advertising nor what percentage of interaction video watchers had with the served advertisements.

Blip.tv was one of the companies we looked at when deciding where to place the CN videos. I still plan to test using Blip.tv in the near future. If you are new to blip.tv, here’s my interview with COO Dina Kaplan:
