by Allen Stern on January 6th, 2009
NY-based online video hoster blip.tv has announced a new partnership today with ActiveVideo Networks. The partnership will bring blip.tv content to the TV via the ActiveVideo Distribution Network. Financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed.
The companies explain how the technology works, "ActiveVideo intelligently streams traditional programming and Web-based content to digital set-top boxes and Web-connected CE devices. ActiveVideo combines the personalized, socially-connected experience that viewers have come to expect from the Web with the quality, immediacy and remote-control navigation of television."
