I think many startups forget (or underestimate)

1. The problem or pain they can actually solve
2. What the direct and indrect revenue streams really are.
3. The lead time to getting the deals
4. Underestimate the startup costs (Human, technical and Financial)
5. Exactly what it is their competition are offering (and why)
