CollabFinder – Social Network for Designers and Developers
by Allen Stern on October 8th, 2008
CollabFinder was one of the presenters at the NY Tech Meetup last night. CollabFinder is a social network for Web designers and developers to meet and exchange ideas. An attendee asked if employers can contact CollabFinder members for work and presenter Sahadeva Hammari said "not at this time". There’s a follow function similar to Twitter and a neat Google Maps mashup where you can find other designers and developers in a specific physical location across the world.

Haha “not at this time” – but how can they possibly prevent this? I can contact someone for work on twitter, facebook, linkedIn, wherever, why not this site also? Duh.
Like the idea of this, went to sign up and spent time crafting my profile and then it just hung when I hit create profile :(
