CollegeWikis Becomes Regroup – Providing Groups for College Students
by Allen Stern on January 11th, 2009
NY-based CollegeWikis has announced a name change this weekend to Regroup. The company notes, “The name Regroup underscores our commitment to your groups, and everything you find at Regroup is focused around the group concept.” The new Regroup pushes hard on using Facebook Connect although you can still create a regular Regroup account as well. I like the updated name and like the functionality they’ve added recently.
Regroup picked up $2 million in venture capital funding back in October. I wonder if a partnership with, another NY-based company, Unigo might make sense. Both companies basically target the same college student market.

Interesting idea, but I dont really see the point of this service.
