CompeteCompete is well known for its analytics tools.  Today, Compete has moved their Search Analytics product out of Beta and into full public release. The tool includes keyword referrals, site referrals and the ability to compare Web site referrals. This comparison can be very helpful when trying to grow your brand online. If your competitor is advertising on x site and converting well, you might want to be there too. The reports include the following search engines: Google, Yahoo!, MSN/Live, Ask and AOL.

Each report will cost x number of credits where a credit is defined as, "Compete Credits are your ticket to run compete.com's premium web analytics. Each credit costs $2.00 and is sold in a variety of packages. With higher priced packages you receive additional bonus free credits. Buying credits is a simple and secure process and all
you need is a credit card
." The full details on the credit system is available in the Search Analytics Help.

I was part of the Beta team and while my testing was limited, it was positive overall. What I find frustrating is trying to navigate back to the main pages and move around the site. It looks like any time you are active in a section, any active navigation is not clickable so you have to almost go back to the homepage just to get back in again. Also, after you run a report, the only place it appears to be available is on the right menu of some pages. I would suggest they add it as an option within the My Account section.

A full Search Analytics produt tour is available on the Compete Web site. Check out our previous Compete coverage.
