ConceptShare Review
I had the privilege of taking a look at the all new ConceptShare. ConceptShare is a really cool app, that is run by flash. If you’re a web designer, you’re going to love this one. It allows you to collaborate with your clients, or anyone that you invite into your ‘WorkSpace’. You can import any image, or website, and everyone involved can make notes, draw, point lines, and chat all in the same window. It’s quite amazing.
This app has got to be one of the most useful web apps that I’ve seen in the last year. It brings you the opportunity to collaborate, in an easy environment. I’ve really enjoyed the time that I’ve had to play with ConceptShare, and I think that a lot of people are going to benefit, and save a lot of time, when presenting ideas to clients, or even just drafting ideas.
When I said that it would benefit a lot of people, I wasn’t kidding. ConceptShare can benefit many different professions. Here’s a list that was grabbed from the ConceptShare home page.
- Graphic Designers who need to share their designs with other designers, their account managers and clients.
- User Interface (GUI) designers can create workspaces for their screens for gathering feedback from team members, designers and clients.
- Creative, Advertising or Marketing agencies can have their Account Managers interact with their designers and clients and gather valuable feedback on all visual creatives like advertising, brochures, posters, logos, web sites, etc.
- Logo design companies or designers can share concepts for feedback that everyone in the company and outside can see, contribute to and vote on.
- Allow Advisory or Focus Groups to view advertising concepts and accurately describe any changes, and allow others to see feedback and help select the best concept.
- In companies of all sizes, Marketing Managers can now manage all in-house creative production with effective, time-saving feedback from partners, designers and customers.
- Web Designers can easily import web pages or conceptual prototype screens and interact with team members, other designers, managers and clients.
- Technology Product Managers who use mockups or screen shots as a major component of the application specifications they give to their programmers can now bring co-workers, customers and management into ConceptShare.
- Architects, Engineers and Interior Designers can review plans, discuss changes and collaborate on designs from anywhere in the world.
So if you ever need to share your current work, and want feedback from a few people, this is the app for you. You can add anyone to specific workspaces, and you can get collaboration done fast, and easy. When I was playing with ConceptShare, I decided to play around with the CenterNetworks front page.
To show you what I did, I’ve taken a few screenshots. They basically show you what you can do with the tools. They show comments, which are just like notes. They show the basic drawing functionality, which I used to make the best smiley ever. Besides the tools that directly involve the project you’re working on, they also show the chat box, and the two side-panels.
I really enjoyed going through ConceptShare, and I really like the way everything works, and how things are set up. I’ve been waiting for something like this to come along, for quite some time, and it’s finally here! I would highly recommend that everyone setup an account, and play around. I’m sure you’ll like it, and that you can get some use out of ConceptShare.

thanks for sharing! would you say this is a standalone thing or potentially an app / module that can be built into other project management tools?
