I recieved a 12-can cooler bag which was awesome. I use it all the time on the beach, boat, and I even use it as a carry-on bag when flying, then I use it all vacation!

back in the 90s when my mother worked in manhattan, i would give her all the bags - she liked them - now i have no one to give the bags to - not even the CN readers want them!

i bet your mother's bags could go for a nice penny on ebay since it would be considered a collection.

As someone in the business of providing schwag to event attendees, I'm tired of giving away the same stuff year after year. I've done photo frames, pint glasses, large & small padfolios, mugs, umbrellas and yes, even bags. At registration, the bags are practical because they hold the conference materials, which many of us take to our hotel rooms, dump on the bed, keep/trash/recycle and decided whether to keep the bag. If the conferences stopped giving so much paper, then we wouldn't need the bags.

Side note, my mother has attended an annual women's conference for almost 20 years and refuses to get rid of the bags; she has nearly 20 of these things she never uses. HELP!

T-shirts, unless the bags ROCK. JavaOne gives out bangin' bags. If I can't put my laptop in it, it isn't a bag. 'Nuff said. ;)

I find it very amuzing, that picture says it all. They probably had a lot of messenger bags to give if they placed that inviting message. I can only say that I am sorry I couldn't attend that conference.
