Coovents Helps You Get Your Happy Hour Drink On
Coovents is a NYC-based startup that attempts to help people find local happy hour locations. Coovents offers a Google Maps integration (seen below) displaying all of the locations they know about that offer a happy hour.
You can either browse the listings via the map and text listing or via a mobile device. The mobile version works via SMS and you can send either a generic request for x number of locations or a specific location request.
Coovents should be able to work with bars to create "specials for Coovents users" which could drive revenue for the company. I’d like to see directions to the locations and perhaps tie into Yelp for user-generated reviews. They might also want to create actual pages for each location to help get some rankings in the search engines.
My one hope is that they lose the pigeon in the logo!

Hi Allen,
Thanks for your thoughtful feedback. Special happy hours for Coovents users is a cool idea that we’ve already thought of. The first official Coovents happy hour is in the works. I like the Yelp reviews and directions ideas, I’ll make a note of them.
If you click on a specific happy hour, you’ll be taken to that bar’s page.
From there, you can view a listing of all happy hours associated with that bar (regardless of the days on which they occur). If you do a Google search for “bar none happy hour” you’ll find our page for Bar None: (http://www.Coovents.com/happy-hour/Bar-None).
We’re excited about taking the Coovents mobile service to the next level with our
iPhone app, which will be released soon. Enjoy the happy hours; we’ll keep you posted on the iPhone release and the Coovents party.

P.S. The pigeon stays. She’s a throwback to old-school SMS.
