CrossLoop Announces $6 Million Series B Venture Capital Funding
CrossLoop has announced that it has raised a $6 Million Series B round of financing led by Venrock. Series A investor El Dorado Ventures also participated in the round. CrossLoop raised $3 million last year. The concept behind CrossLoop is to provide an expert support marketplace.
CrossLoop provides desktop sharing software which can be used with their network of "helpers". Helpers are experts who signup to provide training and support on an endless variety of topics. Helpers charge fees and CrossLoop takes a percentage of earnings. Most rates are between $5 and $50/hour.
I spoke with CrossLoop co-founder Mrinal Desai who shared that they have over 11,000 helpers and 2.8 millionĀ sessions for a total of 53 millionĀ minutes. The key for CrossLoop is to have good quality helpers but more importantly, customers who need the help.
