Dear Kevin Rose, Please Create a Photo Section – Petition
Sign the Petition for Digg to Create a Separate Photo Section
The last few days I’ve noticed a number of photos getting to the front page of Digg. Some of these are great photos but I’m not sure they’re really front-page worthy, especially when you can go to Flickr Explore every single day and find shots that are really amazing. This is not to take anything away from the photos or the photographers who took them, but rather a suggestion on how to improve Digg.
In December 2006 Digg overhauled its website and created a separate section devoted entirely to video. Digg should do the same for photos. I’ve seen quite a bit of consensus on this issue in the comments of Digg posts that deal with photos, so I know I’m not alone in having this view. A major home page Digg has already demonstrated that the Digg community wants this.
If you agree that Digg needs a separate photo section, just as they have a separate video section, please sign this “petition” in the comments, just as a way to show your support for this idea.

It’s nice having a more central page to view photos and text based stories together as it does now, but adding a Photos section would be great. Having the option to choose whether you have photos seperate from the main page would be awesome… common KEVIN!!!

I agree, a photo-devoted Digg section would be neat. Flickr’s Explore page is neat, but doesn’t consist of the types of photos that get Dugg.

enjoy my postcards which I have created at zimoz.com . This postcards lets me add photos, Videos anywhere anyway I want it. So while Kevin is still thinking whether to allow all photos (from flickr etc) on DIGG or build DIGG”s own photo sharing site , enjoy my postcards
