DekiWiki Hits 30k Monthly Downloads and Releases New Version
In September we reported on DekiWiki reaching 100,000 installations in their first year of operation. Today DekiWiki makers MindTouch are announcing a new version of the program along with a note that they are hitting upwards of 30,000 downloads a month. Just a quick note that downloads does not mean installs and installs does not mean active, but the numbers are still encouraging. They also claim to be the largest "vendor-backed" Wiki platform.
New features include integrated scripting engine, support for Dapper, Amazon S3, and Google Charts, multi-user edit merging, and is now available in nine languages.
Marshall has a good overview of the new features.
Here's an overview video of the new version:
Have any of ya'all used DekiWiki? If so, can you report in with your thoughts. I haven't used the app so I can't give you a full review at this point. Any input is very much appreciated.

Thanks Allen! :-)
MindTouch Deki Wiki is FREE as in beer (and as in speech). You can download and install it in minutes from www.mindtouch.com , Enjoy the bits!

Hey Aaron,
the reason why I personally did not try it out yet is because I couldn't find any technical requirements. Even though it says that it supports a variety of operating systems, it would be nice to know what the technology is before I download and look inside the archive. E.g. is this Java, or PHP, Perl? Do I need root access to run this, etc..
I could see this is a small show stopper for some. :)
Maybe I oversaw the "tech requirements" page, but I spent some time looking.
