UGA Digital
– allows you to share photos instantly
– no more sd cards, no more emails
– they make photo frames
– yougotphoto.com – basically you pick your source and send it to a frame
– they don’t host any photos
– they don’t believe that people should have to upload photos yet again to use a frame
– can deliver one photo to millions of frames
– actually useful bit of technology
– two way communication back to the yougotphoto web site from the frame
Trinity Convergence
– build software for OEM who build connected devices
– launching "gloop"
– gloop simplifies photo sharing using P2P technology
– this doesn’t seem as exciting as yougotphoto above

– go read my review for all the details
Kadoo
– manage all your stuff online
– gives 10 gigs of free space
– everything you upload can then be used by the other Kadoo applications
– kadoo isn’t a walled garden but it isn’t wide open either
– selective sharing is the power of kadoo
MixMatchMusic
– collaborate on, share and profit on indie music
– help you find the right parts to create a complete and sellable song

– when a song gets sold, the music creators (all of the beat creators) share in 85 cents on every dollar
Photrade
– democrotizing photography
– helps to protect photographers photos
– basically a service to sell photos
– presenter uses the example of blocking "techcrunch" – ha
– allows photographers to share photos using ads and the photographers share in the revenue
– "think adsense for images"
– reminds me of that image service put out by fuckedcompany
EchoNest
– the first fully automated music expert
– it reads about music and it listens to music
– in a few seconds it can transcibe any song
– can post tons of data about any artist
– can grab a rss feed to post the data on your site
– demo’s an imeem app that can build a radio station based on an artist you like

Hi Allen,
Thanks so much for the coverage on DEMO. The concise point form summaries helped me to understand all of the companies that I didn’t get a chance to see.
Just one correction for UGA Digital and YouGotPhoto.
- We DO NOT make our own photo frames.
…We simply enable the delivery of photos to a variety of photo frames.
Thanks,
Nick
I just bought one of these, and I find it very annoying. The problem is, that whenever someone comes over, they stand or sit hypnotized while they watch hundreds of pictures. It is horrible and nearly as bad as inviting someone over and having the television on the whole time. Gah. I had to move the frame somewhere where people couldn’t see it well. Otherwise, people did not interact. How annoying.
