I don't even check Digg for the stuff I write at Profy, FreeAccess Australia and Blorge anymore, though Diggs are always appreciated as acknowledgment that someone liked my article - I get better results when people submit my work to Reddit, Stumble or Mixx. I think they have an attitude of, "it is what it is" and don't plan on making any changes. Sure, they want to change the search so that it actually works but other than that I don't see anything happening. You're right though that we should be able to customize the number of front page stories we see but that would put an even greater strain on their servers. With the money they must be bringing in, I'm shocked that we haven't seen a server upgrade recently. The site is almost unbearable at times so I'd love to see that fixed. Great post though... Allen:
