WNYC seeks a Content Producer for WNYC.org and other WNYC websites.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Produce and maintain content on WNYC.org website
• Design and production of graphics and digital media
• Production of recurring and occasional online features on wnyc.org
• Work with Director of Digital Media and Digital Media staff, Show producers and other stakeholders to determine online coverage priorities
• Participate in digital media department quality assurance process
• Contribute to ongoing digital media department strategic planning process
• Maintain awareness of industry trends and competitive landscape: design, content, user interfaces, information architecture of public broadcasting and other media/news and information websites

Qualifications:
• Strong web production skills: CSS, Semantically valid XHTML mark-up, JavaScript required
• Able to manage multiple priorities and to satisfy the demands of associates with competing needs required
• Excellent communication and diplomacy skills required
• Ability to work in a team environment, building and maintaining relationships with people in and outside the organization required
• Proven ability to meet deadlines, with accuracy and attention to detail required
• Ability to work in a dynamic, changing environment required
• Bachelors degree or equivalent required
• Minimum 3 years experience in Internet/New Media production and design required
• Graphics Production: Photoshop required
• News writing, reporting and/or copy editing experience strongly preferred
• Experience with Content Management Systems preferred
• Interest and expertise in UI and usability; familiarity and/or interest in Web 2.0 trends and technologies, such as Social Networking, Tagging, Blogs, RSS, Ajax strongly preferred
• Production/design of digital media: Flash, Audio, Video preferred
• Experience with scripting languages (i.e., PHP) and dynamic database-driven websites preferred
• Must be able to read, write, speak, use a telephone, personal computer, and other office equipment and work in an office environment
