Dimdim Offers Webinar Service

Web meeting service Dimdim has announced the launch of a new webinar service today. The webinar service can host up to 1,000 viewers and requires no software or downloads.

Dimdim offers a widget to allow your viewers easy registration for a webinar. The service provides analytics to view how your viewers interacted with your presentation.  They have also partnered with Eventbrite to allow webinar hosts to charge a fee for viewing.

Webinars are becoming more popular based on the sheer number of requests I receive each week. They are a much more cost effective solution than holding local events but for a press event I wonder if the value received is the same.

The Dimdim webinar service costs $75 a month after a free trial. A 20-user Dimdim account is also available for free. Check out our look at WebEx alternatives for more information about Dimdim.
