Director, Advertising Operations
The Director of Advertising Operations will be primarily responsible for implementing, maintaining, and enhancing complex online advertising campaigns for a variety of sites within our network of companies. This position manages the Ad Ops team and involves sales and client support, vendor management, campaign project management, execution and reporting. The Director of Ad Ops works closely with our Sales Department and Technology Department as well as external creative agencies providing materials for clients to implement campaigns across an immersive, multi-platform experience.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor ad delivery and campaign progress, optimize campaigns as needed and provide ongoing quality assurance support. This includes updating and maintaining detailed client campaign reports on a weekly and monthly basis
• Directly manage relationships with external system providers, working with Ad Ops team on solving any day-to-day issues including troubleshooting issues that may occur while the campaign/orders are in progress as required.
• Assist AE’s with traffic and delivery questions.
• Work with internal sales teams to accurately assess site sell-through and forecast future demand
• Organize interdepartmental workflow to ensure that all elements are handled according to process/schedule
• Effectively manage the sales support team whose responsibilities in addition to trafficking include billing, reporting, and development of sales tools.
• Perform quality assurance/quality control checks on client campaigns to ensure that all client and sales objectives are being met
• Guide the Ad Ops team in developing skills such as creative thinking, scoping, problem solving, and communication
Requirements:
• At least five years of relevant experience managing online ad operations for a publisher, network, or agency.
• Strong familiarity with ATLAS ad serving system
• Must have working knowledge of 3rd party tags and be familiar with Flash and various rich media advertising creative technologies
• Strong technical background (Flash, HTML, iFrame/JavaScript, audio/video files, etc.)
• Superior knowledge of online advertising, trends, pricing models, and best practices
• Experience communicating with clients and agencies
• BA/BS Degree preferred
• Extremely detail-oriented
• Solid verbal and written communication skills
