I think it was just a showcase of just how good the player is and to get people talking about it. It does seem odd that they didn’t put it on the market.

I guess the blatant copyright infringement that goes on via sites like joox.net could be a reason too.

They could seriously consider a paid subscription service. I loved the site, it was definitely better than everyone else in quality and I would pay for that. I was just trying a “high def” video at vimeo.com and it looks like s…t, the frame rate is very low, grain and pixelation everywhere, definitely not suitable for a high def tv set.

It has the same look as stage6 with channels etc. and a great community.
