Just installed DivX and it installed Chrome. I did it again to see if i missed the option to uncheck "Install Chrome" and you dont even get the option. Unbelievable that an unrelated piece of software is automatically installed.

I uninstalled chrome and let google know that I will not be installing it in the fuure. I also uninstalled DIVX. Why? Because the choice to do so or decline is not included in the DIVX install, nor is it stated that anything other than DIVX will be installed on the download site for DIVX.

This is my computer. The choice to install an application is mine, not some marketing team's. Both google and DIVX have commited a breech of trust and I will not be using either product. If there is a video that requires DIVX, I'll do without, thank you. If there is a site made specifically for chrome, the same applies.

I have had enough of companies deciding what is and is not to be done with my property.

The one thing I can saw in for DivX is that they're not quitter's. Every time they seem to slip off the radar, they seem to find a way to remind us they're still here. Great Tech, but bad timing usually.
