NY Clothing DriveA bunch of New York tech startup workers have banded together to create the NY Clothing Drive. The event will be held on February 6, 2010. The event is, “being organized by David Fraga and Eric Friedman along with the gang at TechiesGiveBack, Wearable Collections, and a motley crew of volunteers.”

I’ve got a big pile of shirts from schwag bags that I plan to donate. It’s a better use for the shirts than my normal cut up and use as dusting rags.

To donate your unused clothing, you must register first. You also must make a financial donation in any amount. Then a truck coordinator will setup a pickup time for February 6.  So far about 25 people have registered to donate clothes to the NY Clothing Drive.

It’d be great if one of the coworking spots like New Work City allowed us to drop off clothes anytime up until February 6. Then the trucks could make a stop and pickup the aggregated clothing. The concept is awesome and hats off to those behind the drive!
