Embedded Linux Developer

We are looking for passionate, experienced Linux Developers – we are talking about Linux driver internals experience, ARM based Linux experience, and udev and hotplug skills. You use and contribute to Open Source Software, work with cross-compilation and embedded tools, C programming, and shell scripting. You are also familiar with Gentoo, Eclipse, networking. You can’t wait to work on GUI development with Eclipse. Mind reading skills, or other super-power, and solid Call of Duty II gaming skills also desirable.

More about us … Bug Labs (www.buglabs.net) is a small hi-tech company based in Union Square, NYC. We have created the BUG. The BUG is a collection of easy-to-use, open source hardware modules, each capable of producing one or more Web services. These modules snap together physically and the services connect together logically to enable users to easily build, program and share innovative devices and applications. With BUG, we don’t define the final products – the users do.

We have a great environment, flexibility, competitive compensation (401k, 100% health/dental, etc…), not to mention great music and video games from time to time. The folks here are passionate, love what they do, and are great at what they do. We all feel this is a big thing and are very excited to be part of it – we also were given a ’stake’ in the success of the company. We need more talent, but most importantly for all of us as we grow is that we bring people that fit our culture and will keep this a fun place.

If you are interested in the position, drop your email and/or any other relevant info to jobs@buglabs.net – and put Embedded Linux Developer nextNY in the subject line. We’ll do our best to get back to everyone.
