Go out and buy a bunch of Ripcode.com transcoding boxes which are 100% legally licensed, design a simple website for uploading and downloading transcoded media and you&#039;re ready to go.  Oh, you want to stream or progressively download?  Just leverage Amazon if you&#039;re small and any number of CDN&#039;s if you want true streaming.  This company is not ahead of anyone.</description>

		<description>Oh this is too rich - as the 8th employee of the original encoding.com founded in 1997 (eventually going public as Loudeye in 2000, and getting bought by Muze and Nokia).  Not sure what this says about the state of the current cycle when an idea is completely recycled.</description>

		<description>I doubt that transcoding videos fits cloud computing. Raw video files are too large to make it economical  to transfer them first to a remote machine for transcoding. And transcoding small files is not a problem anyway.</description>
