Film.com Offering Free Streaming of Independent Full-Length Movies; Craigslist first movie
Film.com, owned by RealNetworks, has announced that they will stream a full-length movie each week. The movies will showcase established and up-and-coming filmmakers and their films throughout 2007. "24 Hours on Craigslist," will be the first movie featured on Film.com. Real is accepting submissions from independent filmmakers for potential inclusion in the Film.com Movie of the Week program.
The initial catalog of movies are provided to Film.com through its relationship with GreenCine, a San Francisco-based company with extensive library of independent, international and documentary films.
Elizabeth Coppinger, vice president, Media Software and Services for Real said, "We will be able to showcase up-and-coming and independent filmmakers and offer their films' exposure to an audience they might not consistently reach."
