Front End and Javascript Developer

Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be able to work on tight deadlines and keep up with our fast paced, ever-growing environment. You will be responsible for working with both backend developers and designers to ensure that the visual structure of the HTML pages remains consistent across multiple platforms and browsers.

We are a fast-growing, venture capital-backed company based in Flatiron, and a great place for top talent to do their best work. We are looking to add a smart, creative, and experienced front-end coder to our development team.

Minimum Job Requirements:

* 3-5 years experience in front end development centered in hand-coding standards compliant CSS and XHTML
* At least 3 years experience in writing unobtrusive JavaScript code
* Ability to convert graphic designs from PSD or Vector graphics formats to efficient and standards-compliant HTML/CSS files
* Comfortable working with JavaScript libraries like jQuery or Prototype
* In-depth knowledge of DOM manipulation and AJAX/JSON/XML protocols
* Adobe Photoshop/Fireworks/Illustrator experience
* Good communication and problem solving skills

Preferable Job Qualifications:

* Basic PHP and/or Smarty templating engine
* Familiarity with Flash and Actionscript
