Understands the foundations of the web and has experience with building web applications

- A complete mastery and understanding of CSS
- Can code in clean, valid, XHTML
- Familiar with CSS and JavaScript cross-browser inconsistencies and how to fix them
- Familiar with how an ajax call works
- Ability to code JavaScript without the help or reliance of a JavaScript library (although we do use them.)
Helpful but not required:
- Familiar with Firefox’s Firebug console
- Familiar with SVN and Eclipse
- Familiar with JSTL
- Familiar with JavaScript libraries (mainly jQuery, DWR)
- Familiar with SQL
