Gateway offers new support option - or is it an upgrade?
While watching TV last night, I saw a commercial for Gateway's new tablet PCs that I had to rewind and watch again. Part of the commercial had a banner that reads:
100% North America-Based Telephone Tech Support

So what does this mean? That they realized that people want to speak to someone here? So I decided to take a look at what "North American" means - because to the average lamoid, that looks like it would be in the USA or maybe Canada.
So I headed over to Wikipedia to find out some more details about North America:
- 38 countries make up North America
- Mexico, Canada and the USA are the biggest
I am willing to bet a lunch at GoodBurger that the support is still not inside the USA and they are using the "North America" as a way to try to get customers to believe it is back "home." Shady practices I believe. I am betting it is in Barbados or Jamaica, maybe Mexico or Canada. But as Seinfeld says, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Hahaha... now that is funny. Is this a new trend in outsourcing?
Correct ...its a new trend in Outsourcing....
