In SL it is a lot harder than on the regular internet to verify credibility or credentials. On the regular web you can at least printout the webpages, but in SL it's just screenshots, which is no good backup for a lawyer.

SL is not fit to replace WWW commerce, never meant to be. It is a world on its own, despite of the WWW interfaces, and even though it might seem to attempt to emulate the real world to a certain extent, it will never be the real world.

Anyone in SL can play insurance consultant, having a wonderful office and other lovely prims. But no-one in SL can actually prove to be a real representation of the real world.

If the businesses are only interested in selling RL products in SL, then they're wasting their time and money. I'm not going to bother shopping in SL for something I can buy from their web site--especially since I'd have to pay for it in Linden dollars.
