Got time on Friday? Why not watch a live knee transplant webcast!
If you have nothing to do, or can spare a few pixels, why not check out a live knee replacement surgery webcast. The webcast will begin at 8am EST (1300 GMT) and will use some new knee replacement and new technology surgery systems.
Originating from Good Samaritan Medical Center of West Palm Beach, Florida, the surgery will be performed by noted orthopaedic surgeon W. Andrew Hodge, M.D. Dr. Hodge, Director of Orthopaedic Research Laboratory for the center, will replace a patient's knee with the 3DKnee(TM) System while being guided by the ORTHOsoft Navitrack(R) Navigation System. The benefit to patients from using these advanced technologies is highly accurate positioning of more durable knee replacements and shorter post-surgery recovery time.
To see the "live" Web casted procedure visit http://www.encoremed.com/ and click on the Web cast link at the bottom of the page.
