Gradspot Helps You Live After College
Gradspot is a NY-based startup that offers to help graduating college students make the transition to the "real-world". The site offers content in a variety of categories including apartment, career, money, health and lifestyle. There are about 100 "survival guides" with good content for anyone looking for help with finding a roommate, dealing with investments, traveling and keeping fit.
The site is free to use and they have an ebook for download (you can also buy a paperback version). There’s also a "gradspot guru" feature which offers a real person to help you figure out which credit card or bank is best, picking the best healthcare plan, etc. The guru is also free – I assume they earn some revenue on affiliate and signup fees.
My advice for Gradspot is to get those message boards active. When someone posts a question and no one replies, someone from Gradspot needs to. Always remember what the King of Cars said… I want to go to a club where everyone is, not a club where no one is. Active forums make people feel wanted and will help to convert visitors into registered users.
