Head of Online Advertising
The Head of Online Advertising is an exciting opportunity for a senior executive responsible for developing and executing business strategy to grow online advertising revenues for industry leading provider of private label web portal sites for multiple broadband ISP partners.

The Head of Advertising Sales will be the senior executive responsible for developing and executing business strategy to grow advertising revenues for industry leading provider of private label web portal sites for multiple broadband ISP partners.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Serve as company’s “Industry Expert” on online advertising
• Manage online advertising strategies, implementation and performance; set and meet online advertising revenue targets, provide regular tracking and reporting on results
• Monitor industry trends and projections to develop a strategic company wide online advertising plan.
• Direct the creation of strategic advertising partners to maximize value of inventory
• Manage relationships with Synacor’s clients’ sales teams, devise strategies and processes for balancing Synacor direct sales, business goals and objectives with Clients’ strategic objectives and local sales efforts.
• Directly work with and manage top level agencies and major advertising accounts for large national sales efforts
• Develop and support monthly revenue and sales forecasts integrated with traffic and inventory projections from Revenue Development
• Define online advertising organizational development to align with the company’s revenue and growth.
• In conjunction with Revenue Development and Portal business owner, devise ad placement strategies and define inventory units.
Education, Skills, Abilities
• Excellent working understanding of online advertising industry and day to day industry developments
• 7+ years of senior online advertising experience in sales/operations.
• Demonstrated success in building, managing, and delivering sales with top ad agencies and national advertisers; brings established network of contacts and industry connection
• Demonstrated experience with top level sales strategy development and implementation
• Strong understanding of standard metrics and performance measurements
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong work ethic and a creative problem solver
• Ability to define work flow, hit deadlines, work in a fast-paced environment and work effectively as part of a team.
• BA required, MBA strongly preferred
This position is located in either New York City or Buffalo, NY. We will have consideration for relocation.
