I too, signed up for his email notices. I would receive tons of "fundraising emails" (during his campaign time), and a lot of other emails over nonsense issues. I would receive about 3 a week. So I decided to unsubscribe. After I unsubscribed about a month later I started to receive them again. This time i just ignored them, and had them sent to my junk folder. That was like a year ago.
So just today, on my new email address which I got for the reason to start fresh with no spam emails, I received a message from barackobama.com. Not sure how they got my new email, because i never signed up, nor did I even get a confirmation email from them about subscribing. And this email account is not linked at all to the other one. I did kind of sent a nasty unsubscribe letter from my old account, since I did not support obama for president. So, I'm not sure if it's possible for someone in his organization got upset with the letter, and decided to hack into my account to spam me as means to get back. Either way, this kind of things shouldn't be happening on the presidents mass email lists.

So, in this case, SPAM stands for Sophisticated Plan to Ask for Money. Just a thought.

I too signed up for the email list right after his announcement. However, I don't seem to have the same issue with the content of the emails. Of the 11 emails from the Obama campaign I have received, 2 have been direct "fundraising" emails(both sent today, one asking me to match someone else's donation, another asking me to make a donation that would be matched by someone else). Other emails include 2 talking about the De-Escalation of Iraq Act of 2007, one to invite me to the Los Angeles Rally, and one to officially announce his campaign. I hope the email issue won't hurt your views of Obama. I understand the concern of not being removed, and I can not defend the Obama camp on that issue.

Maybe I did not get those emails because I am not in the areas where his rallies have been? I certainly hope I do not receive any more.

What do you expect from a candidate who is bought and paid for by special interest money? The one candidate whom you can actually trust is Ron Paul, the Constitutionist Republican from Texas.
