IamFreeTonight Facebook App Reaches 1.2 Million Users
NY-based IAmFreeTonight (from eTwine) has announced that their Facebook application has hit 1.2 million users in the first 5 weeks and is the biggest dating Facebook app within the network. We reviewed the main IAmFreeTonight Web application in July including a hot video review. It's like an escort service without paying. It's in the same category as MeetMoi (CN Review) except MM is mobile-based but both tools help you find someone to hook up with for tonight (or the near future).
From their press release: "Clifford Lerner, eTwine's CEO, states that "we are absolutely delighted by the extraordinary growth that our latest Facebook application is experiencing and we will continue to add features to the application that appeal to the member base." Lerner continues, "Facebook Platform has created many new commercial opportunities and a company such as eTwine must be able to react quickly in order to take advantage of the ever changing landscape. As a result of the many new revenue streams that have become available to the company, eTwine will pursue all avenues that allow the company to enhance shareholder value."
Once again, just as I wrote this morning regarding MindTouch, how many users are active, not just ones that tried the app and left. Naturally any Facebook app that shows attractive men and women is going to get users to give it a try but how many stay is the key to success.

Allen -- do you have a link to this Facebook app? I can't find it on facebook. Thanks
Here is what they sent over:
Here is a direct link to the application, http://apps.facebook.com/yesnomaybe; however, since Facebook is a password protected web site, users are required to log in. To access this application without the link, Facebook users can click on 'Applications' on the sidebar and search ' Are YOU Interested?'.
