Interactive Media Strategist
Individual will report directly to EVP Media Director and will be a key player in the integrated client service team for all active accounts (including Honda PowerSports, Princess Cruises and Weyerhaeuser).
Responsibilities
• Drives the design and development of online measurement solutions and leads clients in defining measurement strategy, vision, and infrastructure needs to support business objectives
• Understands when and how to use different types of solutions such as tagging based solutions, database capture, log file analysis, online research, panel research
• Identifies innovative solutions and vendors in the marketplace and manages the design and generation of reporting frameworks that provide insight as to the performance of clients’ website, banner ad campaigns and/or drive to site online marketing programs
• Participates in new business pitches that are online media focused
• Leads insight generation based on measurement reporting and analysis
• Establishes measurement infrastructure for data capture and reporting – ensures methodology development including assessment, identification, and implementation of data sources and detailed tracking requirements, as well as facilitates communication and defines roles and responsibilities amongst all parties–Dailey Media, client and third party
• Provides leadership and direction to assigned staff on all aspects of client deliverables and effectively defines scopes of work, manages vendors, project budgets and resource allocation
• Performs ongoing training activities to educate staff in strategic concepts and issues
• Understands basic financial analysis; cost analysis, ROI, etc
• Uses online infrastructure knowledge to create innovative measurement solutions
Qualifications
• Thorough understanding of online industry, trends and new strategic opportunities (e.g., WOM, Mobile)
• Thorough understanding of online (web) metrics and knowledge of various web measurement technologies such as:
o Website traffic analytics software (tagging and log file based) such as Omniture, Google Analytics, WebTrends, CoreMetrics, etc
o Ad serving platforms such as DoubleClick/DART and Atlas
o Paid search engine marketing data sources such as Google, Overture/Yahoo, Did-It and GoToast
• In-depth experience in website analysis and knowledge of infrastructure requirements to deliver measurement solutions
• Familiarity of view-through conversion technology and cookie-based tracking, rich media vendors such as Pointroll, Unicast and Eyeblaster and online research vendors such as Dynamic Logic
• Strong understanding of blue chip internet business models and online processes, terminology, concepts and strategies
• Possession of excellent written, oral communication, project management and presentation skills
• Ability to present complex data reports, financial analyses, and statistics in a simple and clear way
• Proven leadership ability with strong client relationship skills
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Knowledge of integrated marketing and CRM disciplines a plus
