The fact that %42 are considering purchasing iPhone is striking. Being one of them I have to admit that it’s not a good deal financially, however the new iPhone’s cool factor may be the tipping point worth paying a bit more. This is not trivial, as I’m not a Mac guy and certainly don’t belong to the Apple cult, the new iPhone is simply that cool I find it hard to resist.

I think anyone “considering” a phone will consider any model. It’s not until they see total cost will they actually make the purchase decision.

And it’s a good plan, because any new product takes some time to mature, early adopters usually end up paying high prices for somewhat flawed product. These kind of products usually mature after a few releases. It makes perfect sense to wait if you can and that most likely will assure a more refined iPhone with less price.
