iPhone 3G - Apparently Available Now in NYC
Written by Allen Stern - June 14, 2008
Strolling around Times Square this morning and dressed like a tourist, I found a merchant who apparently has the 3G iPhone in stock right now. I asked one of the store's clerks about the sign and noted that Steve Jobs said July 11th. He said yes it is real and asked if I was interested in purchasing one. Perhaps they have a special connection? Doubt it!
If you are interested in visiting the shop and purchasing an iPhone 3G, it's on 51st between 7th and Broadway. It's one of those "tourist" electronic shops that are all around TS.

typical nyc scam
Hey, I bought a watch and purse from that guy! I saved thousands of dollars.
Allen,
Its not a Rolex, its a Bolex!!!
hey i've bought dvds on the street once :)
Hope it is true. Why Apple is delaying until July 11th, they are better off releasing it earlier. Over the last month they must have sold only a small number of iPhones.
I wonder if you always dress like a tourist. Which means to me you look scared, where sandals and a fanny pack.
