Refurb iPhone $250 Now Available Nationwide -- Let The Exporting Begin!

iPhoneAT&T began selling refurbished iPhones in the northeast a few weeks ago. As of this morning, anyone nationwide can now purchase a refurbished iPhone for $249. This is a $150 discount from the new price of $399.

It has also been reported that no plan is required upon purchase. I bet we will see heavy export and unlocking with this deeply discounted version.

This drop in price changes our initial true cost of the iPhone we calculated a year ago.

AT&T still requires a contract plan for that price. If Apple sells it, this would be great. But Apple refurbished Store doesn't carry it.

AT&T still requires a contract plan for that price, so it is a bummer. Apple store doesn't carry it, if they do it will be wonderful. They even could reduce the prices, but when the knuckle heads raised a stink last time, I doubt Apple will reduce the price for a long time.

I just clicked the link and right next to it (about 100 pixels to the right) you'll see "Requires 2-year plan, ordered during activation process. Limit one per customer"

Yes, that is correct but the plan is not required when purchasing the phone. So therefore it works exactly the same as buying it at Apple which is to say that you can easily take it and unlock it or export it.

And so my facts are correct, thanks for checking though!

Seems to be sold out ... no more phones available (at least at the moment)

you would think that since the new and improved iPhone's gonna be released soon that people would slow down their iPhone craze, but i guess not.
