Since when has advertising been ethical? This is just like the quotes on the back of books/products that say "this is the best thing since sliced bread". As long as you recognize that, you'r fine.
If they get rid of the filtering, though, I could se this becoming much better than that--an actual way to determine the quality of a product, somewhat like the user ratings on amazon, etc.

We want to clarify that all of our syndication partners publish all of our video reviews – positive and negative – for all products, and that we have never been asked by any of our partners for even the data required to publish only positive reviews. It’s pretty well known throughout ecommerce that to give reviews the most credibility, users need access to all points of view. Expo is attractive as a content partner *because* we provide this credibility to all of our partners. The Expo brand stands for transparency and authenticity for both consumers and partners, which is why our videos carry our branded logo on any site using our content. To your question about selected video integration, we were simply pointing out the reality of how technically challenging and straining it can be for smaller sites to integrate large quantities of video (we have 100,000 videos) – but this was a technical and not philosophical point. Expo and all of our syndication partners believe that, as you point out, the user experience is best served by displaying the breadth of consumer opinion. In philosophy and in reality, you will find that all consumer opinion is welcome and showcased by all of our partners and obviously at expotv.com.

Being a former buyer for The Home Depot, I would love to hear your thoughts on what would make the best video online review site. We are working hard to create a fair and just site at www.buyorpass.com . Since we link all our videos around detail product info, we are "able" to allow the user to link back to the site to view all videos in their category.

I would greatly appreciate your feedback.

Thanks!
