Analyst, Stategic Development
JOB DESCRIPTION
• Create business cases for potential new digital ventures, ability to think "big picture" cross industries.
• Create and deliver presentations that clearly define strategic initiatives with the ability to sell-through concepts throughout the organization.
• Ability to perform financial modeling to evaluate partnerships and new business opportunities.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams which include product development, technology, advertising sales, marketing, and senior management.
• Think creatively to forge strategic alliances across business units within The Walt Disney Company.
• Help identify external strategic partners or acquisition targets, including distribution partners, marketers, new technology firms.
• Become an expert in digital media (online, mobile, broadband) and current developments in the cable, satellite, Telco and media industries.
• Provide strategy and business development support for the Disney / ABC Digital Media Group family of products.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. BA/BS degree minimum.
2. 2+ years of professional experience at major strategy consulting or investment banking firm, preferably in the media industry, or directly related Strategy / Business Development experience.
4. Deep passion for digital media and emerging technology.
5. Experience in cable television, understanding of MSOs, satellite and Telco companies preferred.
6. PowerPoint presentation skills and understanding of Excel financial modeling methodology (DCF, multiples, etc).
7. Demonstrated communication skills (both verbal and written) with both external parties and internal senior management.
8. Ability to work in fast-paced work environment, with cross-functional teams.
Number of Years of Work Experience: At least 1 year.
Technical Skills: Powerpoint, Outlook, Word, Excel.
Non-Technical Skills: Must have a good understanding of the television news operations. Must also be well organized and able to work under pressure.
