Job duties
We seek a dynamic Director of New Technology with a focus on User Generated Content and associated social networking sites that has previous experience as a project manager. The Director will be responsible for overseeing the company’s efforts to reduce misuse of our intellectual property in this area through coordinated efforts between our record labels, operations, copyright and legal departments. In addition the Director will work to provide and analyze data obtained through internal and external reports to help assess progress and outstanding concerns. The New Technology Division is responsible for approving new media and technology, partners, formats, and security methods for distribution of digital content on CD/DVD’s, over the Internet, and mobile networks.

Specific responsibilities will include:
•Working with social networking sites and appropriate internal departments to establish criteria and maintain and enhance filtering tools that detect infringing content
• Collaborate with internal departments to optimize the income generated form UGC sites
•Oversee monitoring and enforcement program to detect and remove infringements on social networks and related sites
•Collect and analyze data output from internal and third-party filtering or auditing
•Coordinate with legal, copyright, business development and operations EVPs/VPs to ensure methodologies are within parameters of contracts, DMCA, data feeds, etc.
• Working with trade groups for identification of similar sites to focus on or to monitor for infringements

All candidates must be proficient in the following areas:
• Solid knowledge of social networking environments, base approach and use
• Good understanding of internet technologies
• Time management and organizational skills
• Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written)
•Skilled in PowerPoint and Excel

Qualifications:
• Undergraduate degree, plus [5] years experience in project management
• Ability to handle multiple on-going projects required
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment with a variety of corporate professionals and partners
