Description
Our client, an established multimedia (magazine, TV,radio, digital media and events)company targeted to an ethnic minority business audience, needs a Director of Interactive Media. This senior level position reports directly to President & CEO.

Responsibilities will include:
- all online business development activities including strategic relationships, negotiating sale or acquisition of content to effectively and efficiently producing optimum profitability.
- expanding the site to take full advantage of long term industry opportunities and negotiate business deals and relationships as well as content syndication agreements for the online business.
-involvement with all daily online operational aspects, databases, updates and execution of online promotions; also maintenance and overall technical operation and must be experienced in creating and/or editing online content.
- working closely with The Ad Sales Director & Interactive Sales Manager to produce sales strategies, proposals and presentations for existing and new accounts.

Requirements
~ 7-10 years experience managing profitable websites.
~ Proficient in Omniture and other applications that will analyze and aid in strategies to generate website traffic and revenue.
~ Knowledge in working with ad serving applications such as Open AdStream and DART and working with web content management systems such as Ektron.
~ Experience managing a technical marketing support staff.
~ Demonstrated capability to develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan for a website including discussing SEO and SEM strategies.
~ Sell web site availability to advertisers and sets profitable advertising rates.
~ Determine the site's resource requirements to effectively operate the site and accordingly requests budgets.
~ Work closely with Senior Management in making decisions affecting the site both long and short term.
~ Supervise the staff assigned to the site and recommends additional human resources when required.
~ Develop and implement strategic and tactical plans to generate interest in the site internally and externally.
~ Develop and maintain multiple sources of revenue for the site.
~ Research and compile analysis of competitive spending, relevant industry information, category comparisons, etc.
~ Advanced knowledge of Web writing, site optimization, creative asset management and a range of Web Technologies (such as Photoshop, Flash, Action Script, Dreamweaver, Quark, HTML, XML, CSS, and ASP).
