Global Interactive Marketing Specialist
Motorola global business-to-business interactive & relationship marketing is responsible for creating a world class category-defining web experience and developing one-to-one personal relationships with our key audiences, including service providers, enterprises, government organizations and channel partners, with the objective of influencing perceptions and purchase decisions, improving brand awareness and equity, increasing customer lifetime value, driving customer loyalty, and optimizing marketing investment.
Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations
The Manager, Global Business-To-Business Interactive Marketing is responsible for applying communications expertise, creative skills and interactive marketing knowledge to deliver a world class business-to-business web experience and programs working with a variety of internal and external partners. This position revolutionizes and maintains external web sites, executes online demand generation programs, and ensures high impact and consistent web-based communications in partnership with regional interactive and corporate interactive marketing, and business leaders.
Specifically, this position is responsible for:
• Managing the implementation of global interactive experiences for one of the Motorola business-to-business BUs (i.e. Home & Networks, G&PS, Enterprise) that includes multiple product units and regions;
• Managing the planning, delivery and measurement of global interactive demand generation programs for a business unit;
• Reviewing regional interactive experiences and programs, and providing feedback to ensure global brand alignment and consistency;
• Managing the deployment of innovative global applications and content (e.g. blogs, podcasts, RSS, wikis, forums, etc.);
• Facilitating communication between web content providers, editors and web publishers;
• Ensuring all web experiences globally for a business unit are optimized for search engines;
• Analyzing global web site traffic for trends and use patterns for a business unit to identify and quantify customer habits and behavior;
• Soliciting, aggregating and communicating global best practices;
• Recommending modifications to a business unit’s web site content to maximize traffic, customer satisfaction, and revenue generation;
• Reviewing customer feedback for websites, and competitive websites and collects marketing intelligence regarding competitive position;
• Contributing to the development of the interactive and relationship marketing team’s goals and objectives; and
• Confers with IT to insure that required technical features are feasible and can be implemented.
Required Skills and Experience
• 6+ years marketing experience, including 4+ years interactive marketing experience and 2+ years of experience in business-to-business marketing
• Comprehensive understanding of interactive marketing.
• Experience managing the implementation of innovative, demand-generating business-to-business web sites
• Experience managing the deployment of emerging applications and content, such as blogs, podcasts, etc.
• Experience managing the implementation of effective online demand generation programs
• Competency/knowledge of online analytics tools and ability to perform data mining to analyze online trends and report on site and campaign statistics and performance
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and deliver results in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment
• Exceptional verbal and written communications skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams
• Global marketing experience a plus
• Academic background in marketing, business, technology or related field. Bachelor’s Degree minimum, MBA a plus
