The Graphic Designer will report directly to the Creative Director and will have frequent interaction with the Brand Managers, Studio Manager and Print Production Manager. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for the design and execution of Dyson branded printed communication. Ideal candidate is a visionary with a passion for his/her vocation. Someone who relishes existing outside their comfort zone is the type of person that will be successful in this position. The ability to respond to continual change and challenges within this very fast paced environment is essential.

Key Responsibilities
# Uphold the Dyson brand identity and become one of it's guardians
# Design and execute Dyson, Inc. printed materials including packaging, trade and consumer direct mail, brochures, leaflets, in-store environments, POS materials, training materials, retail incentives, trade and consumer exhibitions, and PR support
# Partner with Marketing peers in developing strategies
# Manage time effectively to meet completion dates
# Present creative to Creative Directot and Marketing peers
# Produce creative that meets or exceeds the prerequisites established in Creative Briefs
# Stay abreast of new and existing Dyson products and ranges and their communication
# Drive for the highest standards of innovation and graphic application in all materials
# Ensure that the Creative Director has visibility of work-in-progress at the right time during the creative process and that the quality of work and presentation is consistently high

Key Qualifications
# Bachelors degree in graphic design or visual communication
# Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a corporate creative department, agency or design studio preferably working on consumer hard goods
# Extensive packaging design experience
# Experience in designing a variety of sales, trade and POS materials
# Experience in creating strong brand presence through in-store environments and show booths
# Knowledge of the latest design software on MAC OS (Illustrator, Photoshop and Quark mandatory
# ) Solid knowledge of printing processes
# Must have the ability to convey concepts and give design direction through tight pencil renderings and effective written and verbal communication
# File production capabilities up to prepress
# Ability to multitask and establish personal objectives to meet established deadlines
# Ability to collaborate with peers and associates in developing work that meets established briefs
# Skilled in identifying vendors and assigning projects while working within established budgets and timelines
# A visionary who is always looking for new and innovative ways to do things while upholding the integrity of the brand
# Ability to travel occasionally to events and other office locations as deemed necessary for training, press checks, production meetings, and/or trade events
