Manager - Wireless Marketing
This position will lead the Global New Media Marketing team in developing and executing a wireless marketing strategy for Disney Destinations. With the current and projected growth of wireless technology and adoption, this strategy will position WDP&R to lead in next generation marketing and guest services using the mobile device. A key component to this role will be developing and managing internal and external partnerships.
The Manager, Wireless Marketing will:
• Develop and execute a mobile strategy for Disney Destinations which achieves our marketing goals and positions us for the future.
• Establish and manage partnerships with appropriate external companies to implement our wireless marketing initiatives.
• Develop internal relationships to ensure objectives are met, support is provided as appropriate and an integrated mobile program is developed.
• Develop and manage the mobile marketing budget.
• Develop and implement mobile marketing campaign concepts to support specific brand marketing programs.
• Align creative concepts and mobile marketing ideas with business strategies and objectives to ensure that each initiative drives value to the Company and our Guests.
• Effectively provide creative and strategic direction to internal and external partners.
• Measure, evaluate and analyze mobile marketing initiatives, providing learnings and recommendations for improving upon future initiatives.
• Collaborate with CMR and IT to effectively integrate data requirements into existing systems and processes.
• Collaborate with IT and legal to ensure all initiatives follow appropriate opt in and privacy guidelines.
• Monitor and report on industry progress and trends and benchmark best practices that can be transferred to Disney Destinations.
• Research and monitor vendor capabilities to develop a resource list for development and implementation of mobile strategies.
• Properly recap and communicate project status and results to leadership and teams.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in marketing or business strategy development ideally in the travel industry and/or new media.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Demonstrates strong leadership skills.
• Ability to conceptualize and recommend development strategies.
• Proven ability to think strategically and drive ideas into action.
• Strong ability to partner with and influence others.
• Ability to lead the creative process, demonstrating strong creative judgment.
• Demonstrates budget development and management skills.
• Ability to manage a team.
• Ensures projects are done on time and on budget.
• Demonstrates strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
• Demonstrates strong analytic skills.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced degree in business.
Experience in new media or mobile marketing.
Strong consumer mindset.
Positive attitude and willingness to take initiative.
