The Howcast Team

With offices in New York City and San Francisco, we are building a team of media and technology professionals to maintain and expand our digital presence. Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Product & Trade Marketing and working closely other members of the Howcast team, you will help shape and ultimately execute our marketing plan to introduce Howcast to target consumers as well as individual video contributors and content partners, web site publishers and developers, and other business partners.

Specifically, you will:

1. Brainstorm and Shape
* Novel ways to introduce Howcast to consumers using both emerging digital marketing approaches leveraging social, viral/word-of-mouth, and mobile marketing techniques as well as more 'real-world', so-called 'guerrilla' marketing techniques -- anything to ensure our marketing campaigns are as creative and engaging as our videos
2. Coordinate, Manage, and Deploy
* Integrated, cross-channel marketing campaigns aimed at introducing consumers to what Howcast has to offer from engaging, useful how-to videos to new ways to watch and share how-to knowledge online in collaboration with Howcast's editorial, programming, product development, and business development teams
* Day-to-day campaign calendar coordinating all outward-bound marketing campaigns
3. Write, Proof, and Deploy
* Email newsletters, notifications, and other communications to our community of members, contributors, emerging filmmakers, and business partners
* Copy for promotional campaigns on Howcast.com, partner sites, across the web, and beyond
* Corporate marketing collateral including brochures and customized proposals for business partners
4. Help Research and Investigate
* Consumer trends in the online and instructional spaces
* Emerging business opportunities and potential partners in advertising, distribution, and video production

Requirements

* Passion for online experiences (particularly video and social experience) and/or cutting-edge yet straightforward marketing methods (think Cluetrain.org)
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment requiring you to work with agility across teams and time zones (our other office is in San Francisco)
* 2-3 years of online marketing experience; online product marketing experience a plus
* Demonstrated ability to develop and successfully execute creative, strategic consumer campaigns

Qualifications

* College Bachelor's Degree (English, Writing, PR/Marketing, Communications degree a plus)

Skills

* Truly stellar organization, written, and oral communication skills
* Strong networking and relationship building skills
* Keen attention to detail
* Proficiency with office and web software
o Office Software: Microsoft Office (required), Google Apps (preferred)
o CRM: Salesforce (preferred)
