Drop.io is growing fast, and we are currently hiring for developers for our Manhattan operation. We are a small venture backed startup and the culture is as entrepreneurial is it gets. 1. Fulltime developers: Ideally looking for those with extensive Ruby and/or AJAX experience 2+ years post college; however, we are more interested in bringing on fun and passionate people who have an interest in learning and the raw horsepower to do amazing stuff. When submitting your resume please include a few thoughts on one or two features you would like to see drop.io build, a thesis for why they should be built, and a 20,000 ft overview of how you would approach the development project (or two) you propose.
2. Developer interns (summer of 2008 positions): If you are a college junior and looking for some great startup exposure in NYC, look no further than the hallowed halls of drop.io. You will work alongside the team to outline a important piece of development to tackle and then tackle it. The expectation for these internships is that top performers will receive fulltime offers for after graduation, and that fun will be had by all. As with the fulltime developer positions we are ideally looking for people with some exposure to/experience with Ruby and/or AJAX, but other characteristics are more important.
