We within a Linux, Apache, and MySQL environment. Because we are growing, we are seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to help us develop quality innovative applications.
Responsibilities:
• Design and implement new solutions, or refine and optimize existing code in the core layer of the system
• Develop and maintain applications written in Perl and PHP, operating in a Linux, Apache, and MySQL environment
• Define software architecture for the next generation of highly automated applications
• Have a “can-do” attitude and work closely with other bright engineers as well as a team of highly-motivated analysts and statisticians
• Mentor less experienced team members
Required skills:

• MySQL or other relevant RDBMS experience, preferably with exposure to optimizing queries for large-scale data sets
• Fluency in Linux or other *nix flavor (Visual programming? Not here!)
• Ability to work collaboratively in a shared code environment
• Good knowledge of Apache and HTML
• Application development fundamentals, including but not limited to object-oriented programming, test-driven development and automation
Nice-to-haves:

• B.S. in Computer Science
• Familiarity with working in an Agile/Scrum project management environment
• Frontend development using PHP in a LAMP paradigm
• User interface design for interactive web-based applications
